LPT - Revenue's compliance campaign & regularising your LPT

Revenue will shortly be launching a nationwide compliance campaign in relation to LPT. The campaign will have 4 main areas of focus. These are property owners who have not paid/filed LPT, outstanding Household Charge liabilities, properties which appear to be under-valued and LPT exemption claims.

Revenue has announced that it is giving property owners a final opportunity to regularise their LPT affairs before the campaign commences. Property owners who regularise their affairs before 31 March will not be subject to interest, penalties and mandatory deduction from wages/pension of unpaid Household Charge.

You can use the online LPT system to check whether Revenue records indicate that you are in arrears in relation to LPT/the Household Charge. Where a property has been under-valued for LPT purposes you can use the online system to amend the property record to increase the valuation band that applies.
